Montmartre - This beautiful iris inspired me with its colors and enchanting ruffled petals. Montmartre (Moh-mar-trah) is the name of a hill in the north of Paris (a place I love) and the actual name of this hybrid. I painted this as a gift for my sister in Chicago who loves irises and lives for the spring when the cold winter ends and the iris bloom. The original is a 12x12 oil painting on canvas.
