Good as Gold - This painting was inspired by a photograph I took at the Hilo Orchid show. The ‘golden’ yellow color on these Cattleya orchids is just brilliant and the magenta provides such an amazing contrast. The sumptuous ripples of the petals and lips are extraordinary. It draws you to it and then leaves you tolinger, enjoying the beauty of these flowers. The original is an 18x24 oil painting on canvas.
